Virginia Lanzotti is the overall project manager for the National Brain Gene Registry. She is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatric nurse practitioner at Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She provides clinical care to children with a wide range of psychiatric and developmental disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her research focuses on enriching the phenotypic characterization of individuals with neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders whose genetic testing records show a change in one or more genes believed to be implicated in some aspect of neurodevelopment or behavior. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology and her B.S.N in Nursing with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her M.S.N at St. Louis University.
